In 2010 we had the pleasure of working with Will Roegge and Josh Herron as they made their way from L.A. across America in a 1974 VW Westy, filming the grass-roots Drifting scene.   Will & Josh are both incredibly talented filmmakers in addition to being really cool guys.  They basically let us do whatever we wanted and told us it was great.  Dream Project!

The film is finished and you can watch it here!

For the project, we created a van wrap design and a T-shirt that featured stick-figure robots readying themselves for war with a giant dinosaur skeleton – of course.  We drew robot after robot, well into the wee hours of the night.

Somewhere along the way, the animal skin windows were added and then killed – thankfully!

Below are a few of the robots that we drew.  In the end, they were all piled on top of each other so you couldn’t necessarily tell where one robot stopped and another robot began.

For local tour promotions we created some ads and posters that used the 70’s-era  hitchhiker’s code; Gas, Grass, or Ass, Nobody Rides For Free.

And when will we ever get to create an upside down logo?  I’m not sure!
